The manuscript that didn’t want to be written…

I got the edits for Miss Independent, round 2, finished today. This book really kicked my butt. I don’t know what it was about it, but it was a challenge from start to finish. The plot, the hero and heroine…even the secondary characters really made me work–and sitting myself down to get the edits done was a struggle, too. Because it was under contract, I had to finish it , but I have to say, it wasn’t easy.

For the writers out there, do you ever run into this? If so, how do you handle it?
